Kevin Paradiso (head chef) and Benjamin Kotter (restaurant manager) took over the gastronomic management of the Strandwirt with their team in mid-2025. The duo, who have been working together for years, pursue a common goal: to give every guest an unforgettable experience at Lake Waging – enjoyable, personal and with great attention to detail.

Cosy tavern and restaurant in Alpine style

The tavern, with its magnificent view of Lake Waging and the Chiemgau and Salzburg mountains, is the perfect place to stay at any time of year.

In addition to the cosy tavern, you can take a seat in the newly designed Alpine-style dining room. Warm wood tones, elegant fabrics and a well-thought-out lighting concept create a truly cosy atmosphere.

The Meindl Lounge is the ideal venue for small private celebrations or business meetings for up to
24 people. The elegant room with fine leather walls is equipped with modern technology.

From roast pork to pasta

The Strandwirt’s culinary concept combines the best of both worlds: deep roots in Bavarian food culture with its love of quality and craftsmanship – and the lightness and diversity of Mediterranean cuisine. Juicy beef goulash and crispy schnitzel are just as much a part of our menu as fresh Italian pasta, crispy baked pinsa or crunchy salad bowls with that certain something, whereby the focus is always on the freshness and quality of the ingredients.

Unique lake scenery

The Seeterrasse is located right on the waterfront and, with its mountain panorama, is the perfect place to relax and unwind. The relaxed atmosphere invites you to linger, whether for a leisurely lunch or an atmospheric evening under the open sky.

In our cosy lounge with comfortable beach furniture, you can end the day with a glass of wine or beer from the regional Schönram brewery.
